Course outline
Learners who successfully complete this module will:
- Understand the principles of the grooming process
- Acquire an understanding of the structural and function of the skin, hair and nail types of different breeds of dogs
- Recognise the coat type of different species and breeds of small animals
- Identify the required grooming techniques for different coat types
- Acquire the skills associated with different grooming techniques
- Develop and use safe working practices
