Overview
The course provides a comprehensive introduction to general studies, offering a diverse range of subjects to acquire the knowledge and skills for everyday life but also supports progression to further education, training or employment. The modules included allow participants to improve their general academic and research skills. There are links to many Arts and Creative Digital courses offered in Irish universities. The course incorporates within the range of modules the transveral skills such as media and information literacy to enable participants to apply these skills to a broad range of occupations or further academic areas of study. The universal skills gained in this course are invaluable for work, education and daily life. Consultation is ongoing and continuous with Higher Education Institutes such as UCC and MTU in the continuous development of vital links through the Higher Education Links Scheme.

Leaving Certificate (LC Established, LCVP or LCA) or equivalent
For mature applicants appropriate experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
