Work Experience for Students
Work Experience for Students
Many students are given the opportunity to participate on work experience as part of their studies in the college. This is an integral part of the learning experience on offer in the college and several students have gained future employment from their placement.
The college has established numerous invaluable links with employers over the years and also has access to Data Ireland the largest current database of employers in Ireland. Some classes are also doing a pilot scheme with Careers Portal which is proving to be a valuable tool for the students involved.
Some students gain work experience throughout the academic year, while others take part in work placement over 2 weeks or a minimum of 60 hours. While on placement all students are fully insured by the college.
