International Students from E. U. countries
E.U. nationals are not required to pay tuition fees but must pay course charges along with the Department of Education PLC Programme Participant Contribution of €200. A full outline of fees are listed on our website: see link
International Students from Non -E.U. countries
International Students from Non -E.U. countries, with the exception of applicants who have special leave to remain in Ireland, are not eligible to attend the college without a stamp 4 card. Asylum seekers who have been in Ireland and completed five years in secondary school are eligible to attend Further Education Colleges, once they meet the set criteria for this scheme.
Applicants who fulfill all of the above criteria i.e
- Have fulfilled the language criteria.
- Have been offered a college place.
- Have paid the full fee.
will be provided with a letter from the college to assist with the application for a student visa.
It is the responsibility of the prospective student to deal with the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. Under no circumstances will the college become involved in this process.
Speakers of Languages other than English
As part our application process Speakers of Languages other than English are requested to attend for a language examination in English.
The test is given in order to gauge your level and standard of English.

Candidates should bring photo identification, (stamp 4, passport, national identity card or other is acceptable)
If candidates cannot attend on the day of the examination they should contact the admissions office as soon as possible.
A limited number of examinations will take place over the enrolling period – these will be notified prior to each round of interviews.
Exemptions:
Candidates who have sat the Leaving Certificate in Ireland and who have taken English as a subject can proceed straight to registration, but need proof that they have take the subject to the Leaving Certificate Level.
After the examination:
Once candidates have successfully passed the test, the college will notify candidates and will be issued with a card which allows registration to take place.
International students will have to pay full student charges and Department of Education & Skills fees before a letter will be issued regarding a student visa.
The college will not engage in any way in the process of visa applications.
International Students with Special Leave to remain in Ireland
Applicants in this section generally are in one of the following categories:
o Refugee Status
o Asylum seeker with the right to work
o Parent of an Irish child
o Married to an Irish Citizen
Applicants will be invited to attend the college for a compulsory English language assessment. See Speakers of Languages other than English section: Link
Those with refugee status are not subject to tuition fees but must pay course charges and the Department of Education PLC Programme Participant Contribution of €200.
Those who are parents of an Irish born child or those married to an Irish citizen, subject to confirmation by the Department of Justice, Immigration and Law Reform, may not be required to pay tuition fees but must pay the course charges and the Department of Education PLC Programme Participant Contribution of €200.
Asylum seekers with the right to work must pay the full Department of Education fee €3,653 (subject to change) plus the relevant course charges.
All applicants with special leave to remain in Ireland must produce appropriate documentation to verify that status.
If such documentation is not produced with the application form then the application will not be processed.
PPS (Personal Public Service) Number
All students, national and international, are required to supply a PPS number on their application form. International students currently living in Ireland who are not in possession of such a number should apply to:
